Group: Administrator Post Group: Working Member Posts: 176 Status:	Since many people have chosen Jade as their favourite character, I thought “Give the woman her own thread, and let there be posts!” I found her a great character: she was thrown into a very delicate situation, and always tried to make the best of it. I probably don’t understand some of her choices, but all in all I think she was a strong smart woman. So! Why do you like her? Is it just her looks, is it the way Giovanna Antonelli plays her, is it because she has a strong personality? Post away, my darlings!

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 32 Status:	I have to admit that both Giovanna Antonelli and Murilo Benicio were the best actors to play the role of Jade and Lucas .But as far as we are talking about Jade,i agree that she was much more that i expected.She is beautiful,smart,a good mother,she had them all.As far as i'm concerned Jade was the perfect actress for the role,no other woman could have done better.She was practically one and the same with the brasilian and marocco girl who lives with the heart in Brasil and with the mind in Marocco......fantastic all my respects for her!!!!

Group: Administrator Post Group: Working Member Posts: 176 Status:	The casting was brilliant, wasn't it? I admit she had many qualities, but was also rather reckless at times. Perhaps it's that recklessness that cost her a lot at times (not all her decisions were well thought through, imo). For instance, she accepted that marriage with Said when she did not truly have to (at one point, her uncle told her he would not force her into marriage if she was so opposed to the idea, but she was not satisfied with just studying, she also wanted his blessing to be with Lucas, which she obviously did not get back then). But then, no one's perfect and I suppose that's what makes for a nice, complex character?

She was never afraid to run after it and do whatever It was necessary to have it. I also loved that she was sweet, loving, fun, sexy, smart, beautiful, a dreamer and a great mother. I also LOVED the way she dressed all her accessories, the sofisticated yet arabic way of dressing and all her jewlery, including also her bellydancing outfits. And ultimately I LOVED the way she danced... It was so natural and beautiful she was the reason why I got into bellydancing.... I LOVE GIOVANNA IN THE JADE CHARACTER. She was the best and nobody will ever make a better JADE. ;-)
